Lucas joined FIM Group in 2014 as an investment adviser representative responsible for assisting clients, in conjunction with their legal counsel, with the review, design, and implementation of trust and estate planning strategies.
Lucas graduated from Rockhurst University with a B.A. in English in 2006 and Creighton University with an M.A. in English in 2009. Prior to joining FIM Group, Lucas served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales for RealView, LLC, a software development company headquartered in Chicago. Lucas also has experience teaching English and composition at the collegiate level.
In 2015, Lucas earned the Certified Estate and Trust Specialist designation from the Institute of Business & Finance. The CES™ designation involves coursework, testing, and a case study requiring extensive knowledge of estate planning goals, beneficiaries, wills and probates, retirement accounts, taxes and trusts, living trusts, post-mortem guidelines, control trusts, funerals, and incapacity.
Lucas also holds the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation from the American Bankers Association. To earn the CTFA® designation, Lucas completed Trust I, II, and III through the Cannon Financial Institute, in addition to successfully passing the examination boards. The CTFA® mark denotes expertise in trusts, estates, taxation, investments, and financial planning.
Much of Lucas' time outside of the office is spent with his wife, Courtney, and their two young children, Margot and Remi. Together they enjoy trips to the library, walks around their downtown La Crosse neighborhood, swimming, hiking, and other family activities. Lucas plays ice hockey weekly and also finds time to pursue his creative writing. He is a member of Rotary Club of La Crosse - After Hours.
