Jeffrey Lokken joined FIM Group in 2001 as a private client wealth manager. His responsibilities include preparing and monitoring client personal financial plans and assisting other FIM Group financial advisers with designing and implementing financial planning strategies. Jeff specializes in providing financial planning services for physicians, surviving spouses and retirees.
Jeff received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1977, and his Master of Science degree from Winona State University in Minnesota in 1981. He then worked as an independent financial manager until 1989 when he established the fee-only wealth management firm, Lokken Financial, Inc. In 1993 he merged with Chesnut & Cape to form Lokken, Chesnut & Cape, Inc. and served as CEO of the firm until July of 2001.
Among his professional accomplishments, Jeff has been authorized by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP® Board) to use the certification marks CFP® in accordance with CFP® Board certification and renewal requirements. These marks identify those individuals who have met the rigorous education, examination, experience and ethical requirements of the CFP® Board. Jeff has also earned the Chartered Financial Consultant professional designation sponsored by the American College and has completed a Master of Science degree in Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning. Jeff's professional association memberships include the Financial Planning Association and NAPFA, the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, which is the largest professional association of comprehensive, fee-only financial planners in the United States.
